A small group of volunteers has been setting up these events for the past several years and the number is being depleted by retirements. The group remaining is getting very small and would like to see some new faces begin carrying this load. Volunteers need to be able to put in extra hours about once each quarter and several consecutive hours the day before and the day of the event. If you’re interested, please contact
our Volunteer Coordinator. |
December Dinner/AuctionA crowd of over 150 guests attended the Home Visit Dinner/Auction on Dec. 4, 2010, and enjoyed a delicious ham dinner. The guests were more than generous as they bid on silent auction items and swept through the Pantry securing goodies and gifts for the season to come. Over $6,000 was raised for the Home Visit Conferences serving Ashland and Central Point. It will go a long way to allowing them to pursue their mission in the coming months. The Ashland group will also be assisted by a $30,000 City of Ashland grant focused on providing monetary relief to individuals and families needing permanent shelter during the winter months. |
